Depression Screening (http://www.depression-screening.org) is a  Depression Screening/Self Assessment through Mental Health America.  Mental Health America (formerly known as the National Mental Health Association) is the country’s leading nonprofit dedicated to helping ALL people live mentally healthier lives.

National Institute of Mental Health (http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/depression/complete-index.shtml) links to a detailed booklet that describes Depression symptoms, causes, and treatments, with information on getting help and coping.

American Association of Suicidology (http://www.suicidology.org) lists local crisis centers and resources for the assessment, prediction and prevention of suicide. It also includes resources and support groups for the survivors of suicide.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (http://www.afsp.org/) has been at the forefront of a wide range of suicide prevention initiatives, each designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. We are investing in groundbreaking research, new educational campaigns, innovative demonstration projects and critical policy work.
