I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is committed to giving my clients the very best of care that I can possibly provide. I focus on the client and their need(s) and work with a focus on empathy, compassion, and respect. Every client is unique. As a result, I always work with the client him/herself to find a client-specific centered plan to help reach his/her goals.
If the client has a need outside of my scope and/or requires a specialized provider, I will make the appropriate referrals to connect my client with the provider(s) needed in order to reach their goals and receiving the very best care.
As the son of a U.S. Army veteran, I grew up around many diverse cultures and lived many places throughout the country. It is my honor to be of help to all; any race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and/or gender. ALL are welcome. As I mention to many of my friends/colleagues, “Y’all Means All.”
Experience
I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2004 at all levels (inpatient, outpatient, acute, sub-acute, ALE/day treatment) and with all ages from kindergarten to geriatric patient populations. Prior to becoming a social worker in 2011, earning my MSW degree, I worked in the field in many roles as well to gain relevant experience while in school.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2011 and have over a decade of experience as a social worker. I later achieved my LCSW licensure in 2015.
In addition, I spent five years working in a hospital for both neurosurgeons and cardiovascular surgeons. I worked on multiple ICUs and have the experience of working in a demanding, high stress situation such as a hospital and a healthcare setting.
Last, I am well versed on resources within the community (state-wide) such as financial, housing, food, etc.
Education
I earned my Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock (UALR) in 2011. Prior to graduating with my MSW from UALR, I earned my Bachelors of Arts (BA) from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark., in 2007. My focus for my BA was a major in psychology and a minor in sociology/juvenile justice/criminology.
